What's Happening

Martinsville Speedway Valley Star 300

2018 brings us new and exciting oppurtunities.  September brought us an oppurtunity for a little fun mixed in with the work we have been doing.  Madison BIM Consulting was able to partner with and sponser Davin Scites in his bid to race in the Valley Star 300 at Martinsville Speedway.  Davin and his crew had a great car, setup and running well coming out of practices and into heat races.  We were on lap 16 of the final heat qualifying race running in first/second, when coming out of turn 2 the engine died.  It was disappointing coming so far and not making the main event.  Davin and his team have put alot of work into his car and hoping to find the problem and get back on the track soon.  Proud to have been a small part of Davin's team and watch them put in work this weekend.  It was a great weekend with the family, time together, and looking forward to the next race.

AIBD Design & Build
Mid-Atlantic

Bradley will be attending the AIBD Design & Build Mid-Atlantic Conference held in Philadelphia, PA.  He will be presenting the BIM LEGO Experience again and looking forward to another exciting oppurtunity.  Attendees will learn frist hand how BIM works.  So many presentations talk about BIM and show pictures of the benefits of BIM but sometimes leave the attendees wondering how it actually works.  This hands on approach allows users to see many BIM softwares and at a micro level how contractors can use those models to aid in the construction of their proejcts.  Thanks to the Associated General Contractors of America (AGCoA) and the program creator, Benjamin Crosby of Yates Construction, for allowing this to be shared.  Conference dates are August 16-18.

AIBD Design & Build Southeast Conference

Bradley will be attending the AIBD Southeast Design & Build Conference held in Wilmington, NC on May 3rd and 4th, and will be presenting the BIM LEGO Experience.  This is an interactive presentation that shows the BIM (Building Information Modeling) Execution Plan of a project. It is hands-on where you are building the Lego project from a set of plans. Digital Models via IFC (Industry Foundation Classes) files will be provided to review in a BIM environment. We will have fun learning how utilizing BIM in design reduces errors during construction and streamlines the project timeline. Thanks to the Associated General Contractors of America (AGCoA) and the program creator, Benjamin Crosby of Yates Construction, for allowing this to be shared at the AIBD Southeast Design & Build Conference.
